Yin energy is provided by the moon. It is the energy which enables us to sleep, slow down, rest & digest.
Autumn is the season when we can really see Yin energy work its magic. The abundance and hype of the summer has settled and we slowly begin to retreat inwards to rest, slow down and conserve energy for the winter. As animals, we are innately connected to the cycles of nature. The moving positions of the sun & moon dictate our mood our energy and our reactions. Unfortunately, however, we have become disconnected from nature, The pace of which we live our life is fast and demanding. This causes us to ignore the Yin calling. We power through, solider on, burn candles at both ends, expecting the same amount of effort from ourselves as we did during summer months when energy was readily available and most potent. This is an unattainable and unrealistic expectation. Living in such a manner inevitability leads to burn out, exhaustion, low mood, anxiety, poor immunity, irritability, injury and in worst cases disease. We must learn to honour the cycles of nature and living accordingly.
‘Fall into Yin’ Masterclass at Orba is the perfect place to begin. This 2.5 hour class will allow you the space and opportunity to slow down, reconnect to your inner wisdom, and be gently guided to a space of release, surrender and peace.
Yin Yoga is an incredibly powerful practice. It takes you on a journey through yourself to yourself. A slow, meditative, beautifully soothing and relaxing experience.
This practice is suitable for all levels. You do not need any Yoga experience to participate.
Please bring a mat, blanket, pillow and water bottle.
