Bronagh Starrs
Autism in Adolescence –
Bronagh Starrs is Founder & Director of Blackfort Adolescent Gestalt Institute and is Programme Director for the MSc Adolescent Psychotherapy in Dublin Counselling & Therapy Centre, in partnership with the University of Northampton, UK.  Bronagh is a renowned adolescent development specialist and has considerable experience teaching and presenting throughout Ireland and internationally on the developmental implication of trauma on the adolescent journey.
Autism in Adolescence will explore the unique experiences and challenges faced by teens on the autism spectrum. This session will cover key topics such as social communication, sensory sensitivities, and strategies for supporting emotional well-being and independence. Learn about the latest research, effective interventions, and practical tools for helping adolescents navigate the transition to adulthood. Whether you’re a parent, educator, or healthcare professional, this presentation offers valuable insights to support and empower teens with autism.
Sarah Trimble:

Nutritional Therapy for Autism

This session will explore the key nutrients and dietary changes that can support individuals with ASD. The importance of good fats and a healthy population of Good gut bacteria will be discussed alongside an overview of useful functional nutritional testing.

Sarah is a Nutritional Health expert trained in the Functional Medicine Approach to Nutritional Therapy that aims to resolve balance to the body systems as well as the patient and not just the condition. She has a wealth of experience in supporting individuals with ASD.
Lorraine McAleer:

Lorraine was diagnosed with autism at age 38.  For 25 years, she dedicated her career to supporting children with additional needs, inspired by her incredible sister Emma, who has Soto syndrome. Driven by a desire to provide better support for families, teachers, and organizations, she co-founded Learning SPACE 17 years ago with her sister Mary, a social worker.  Their mission is to empower children and young adults with additional needs, along with the key people in their lives, by providing knowledge, strategies, and resources. Today, their team of 14 collaborates closely with schools, health trusts, and families to make a meaningful impact.
Andy Hazley :

A Neurodivergent perspective of school and home experiences. 

• Gain real life insight of autism, sensory & additional needs.
 • Gain greater empathy and understanding of needs 
Andy is a ASD, Sensory and Additional Needs Training Specialist who has a wealth of experience delivering ASD training, helping families and training professionals. His expertise comes not only from his own personal experience of having ASD, along with having 3 children with ASD, but it comes from engulfing his life in attending courses, researching and constantly learning from the children, families and professionals that he supports. His passion in this field drives him so that more children can be understood and that those around them can put steps in place to support them. All with the aim of making a positive impact on individuals lives and being an advocate for ASD, Sensory and Additional Needs.
