How do you explain Yoga??

I talk about yoga a lot!! Often i find myself getting carried away trying to list all the amazing benefits from increased body control to better sleep, better posture and everything in between. However…. All these benefits are just bonuses… They are not the purpose of Yoga.

Simply put… Whatever you do in life or wherever you are, Yoga makes life more enjoyable . If you are struggling with life and want to give up, develop a consistent yoga practice. If you love life and want to squeeze every drop, develop a consistent practice. If you want change in your life, develop a consistent practice.
You do not have to be any particular type of person for the magic of Yoga to appear… You just have to start practicing with whatever you have.

Much stress and unhappiness comes from our outer world not fitting the pictures of our inner world so we busy ourselves desperately trying to stir up the contents of our outer world so it looks differently.

One of my favourite quotes is from BKS Iyengar:

“yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured”

Sit with this quote a little…if we were able to achieve this, would your outer world not be a little more enjoyable?? Would you not experience a litte more peace??
